CH Jantar

The largest shopping centre in Central Pomerania.

The Jantar Shopping Centre is the largest shopping complex in Central Pomerania, the regional capital of fashion and entertainment.

Jantar is located 3 km from the very centre of Słupsk, on the main exit road towards Szczecin. Convenient access, not only for cars, is one of the unquestionable advantages of this location.

Jantar is an architecturally modern shopping complex with a wide range of shops offering well-known and respected clothing brands and service outlets. It is also a place guaranteeing a wide entertainment offer for the whole family. Our customers can look forward to, among other things, a 6-screen cinema, numerous cafés and restaurants, and a playground for the youngest.

It is a venue for interesting exhibitions, shows and concerts. A rich list of attractions perfectly complements the entertainment offer of the nearly 100,000-strong Słupsk and its surroundings. The Centre's unique character is given by its friendly atmosphere, unusual aesthetics and ornamentation.

Customers commute to Jantar largely by their own cars, and 1,100 parking spaces have been allocated for them in car parks accessible from Szczecińska and Kołobrzeska streets.

In turn, for non-motorised customers, a constructed bus terminal located near Kołobrzeska Street is a great convenience.

Jantar compared to the region

With a total area of 57200 m2 , the Centre is the largest in Central Pomerania (between Koszalin and the Tricity). It is here that the inhabitants of Słupsk most often do their shopping. It features both large-format shops of well-known brands and small specialised salons. By expanding its offer with an entertainment section (a modern cinema and a restaurant zone), Jantar has become not only a place for shopping but also for family leisure activities.

Half of our customers are Słupsk residents. We are also visited in equal numbers by residents of neighbouring towns and cities, such as Ustka, Sławno, Darłowo, Miastko, Lębork, Bytów and Koszalin.

The creation of the Centre has also significantly reinvigorated investment in neighbouring areas, significantly affecting their attractiveness.
INVITATION!

History

The centre was opened on 26 September 2008. On an area of approximately 23,000 m2, 70 premises were located, with 650 parking spaces available to customers. Most of the boutiques were well-known clothing brands. The newly opened shopping centre also included shops with home and interior products, multimedia and press outlets. Restaurants, cafés and a grocery supermarket completed the offer. However, the construction of CH Jantar proved insufficient for the Slupsk market. This accelerated the owner's decision to expand it and make the offer more attractive, which was an important event for the residents of Slupsk and the surrounding area. Shops previously absent from the region appeared in Jantar. In order to enable the expansion of the offer, facilitate access to the Centre and make it more attractive, the building increased its retail space to almost 45,000 m2; in turn, the number of parking spaces almost doubled. In addition, a new bus terminus was built right at the entrance to the Centre from Kołobrzeska Street, allowing Słupsk residents to reach Jantar by public transport.

The opening of the expanded section took place in two stages. After each of them, the offer expanded with more and more new brands and services.

In the first phase of the opening (19-20 November 2011), the offer was expanded mainly by well-known and respected fashion brands on the Polish market.

In the second phase of the opening (18-20 May 2012), an entertainment zone was added to the offer. There was also further development of the fashion offer, services and the DIY zone.
